Must:
We require candidates to have a TS/SCI with Poly clearance and a minimum of 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years, a Master’s and 10 years, a Bachelor’s and 12 years, an Associate’s and 14 years, or a High School diploma and 16 years. Additionally, candidates must comply with DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
We are looking for individuals with experience in configuring and troubleshooting boundary protection technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Forcepoint appliances. Candidates should also have experience with configuring and troubleshooting Juniper and Cisco routers and switches, protocols like OSPF, BGP, VPNs, VRFs, and MPLS, as well as working knowledge of boundary protection best practices. Understanding routing, switching, Internet Protocol (IP) subnets, Network Address Translation (NAT), and security technologies is also essential.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to engineer and modify rulesets for new customer requirements, read and understand schematic diagrams and technical manuals, and possess working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management products. Superior verbal and written communication skills and intermediate knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio are also crucial.
Responsibilities
As a Sr. O&M Network Engineer, I will be responsible for maintaining the security and networking of enterprise boundary enclaves and devices. I will handle Tier III O&M of Juniper and Cisco routers, which includes troubleshooting and implementing routing updates. My role will also involve implementing new firewall rules along with associated routing and monitoring performance of firewall systems.
I will provide support for Palo Alto, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), and Forcepoint firewall equipment and applications. Additionally, I will generate, determine the impact of, and implement custom proxy policies or policy exceptions in response to ongoing technology implementation activities on the program. I will serve as a Proxy Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the integration of other technologies within the program.
In my day-to-day activities, I will troubleshoot web connectivity problems to determine root cause, perform Proxy solution component upgrades, and research evidence collection, protection, and analysis techniques for customer-owned hardware and software. I will provide real-time monitoring and alerting for security incident investigations and support incident management events and outages. Collaboration with IT staff on various projects and providing monthly progress and status reporting on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) will also be part of my daily responsibilities.

The pay range for this position is $87,100.00 - $157,450.00. This pay range is a general guideline only and does not guarantee compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreements, and other laws.
