Requirements

Must:
- Education: B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience. - Citizenship: U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance (Interim Secret clearance required upon employment). - Skills: Minimum of 12 years in developing graphics applications, primarily in C++ utilizing the Unreal graphics engine, strong Linux proficiency, and some experience with game programming, 3D graphics development, or other visual simulation systems. Preferred Experience: - Education: Advanced degree, ongoing education in computer science, or an advanced background in math/physics. - Skills: Familiarity with high performance computing, graphics hardware, GPU internals, or developing for Virtual Reality headsets. - Tools: Experience with OpenSceneGraph, 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, or similar modeling tools. ---

Responsibilities

As a Graphics Software Developer at Leidos, I will have the opportunity to transform the future of naval simulation, training, and analysis. My work will directly impact the U.S. Navy's operational capabilities as I develop critical training systems. I will craft real-time, three-dimensional graphics systems used throughout the Navy, including submarine periscope simulations and ship weapons simulations. I will be working within a Linux environment and utilizing C++ and OpenGL, along with the Unreal graphics engine and various software packages. Additionally, my contributions will allow me to travel to strategic locations such as Pearl Harbor, San Diego, and Norfolk, showcasing how my work enhances naval readiness. ---
