We are looking for a US citizen with an active DOD Secret Security Clearance, who can maintain this clearance during employment with us. The ideal candidate will possess at least a Bachelor's degree and have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with at least 1 year of experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Familiarity with at least one programming language (such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby) is essential, along with a basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. Experience in writing basic test cases and documenting defects is also required. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, particularly in a remote work setting. They must be capable of completing tasks independently with minimal supervision and should recognize when support is needed, showing a willingness to seek assistance. The ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team is critical.

Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to plan and execute software testing. You'll support the development and execution of thorough test plans for both functional and component-level testing throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborating closely with systems engineering and development teams early in the process is vital to help define and clarify system requirements. You'll assist in transforming these requirements into detailed test cases and develop feature files using Gherkin syntax to enhance test automation. Additionally, you'll participate in system-level test design and execution, ensuring that the overall system meets the stipulated requirements. Identifying issues and collaborating with developers for resolutions will be part of your core duties. Regular participation in team meetings and effective communication will be paramount, as you work as part of a remote team. You’ll also contribute to the automation of manual tests and help in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using frameworks like JUnit, Jest, Cucumber, or similar tools.

This position allows for remote work, but candidates who can occasionally be present at selected locations (such as Newport News, VA; Lexington, MA; Orlando, FL; Charlottesville, VA; Omaha, NE; or Morgantown, WV) will be preferred.
