Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in developing, maintaining, and improving production applications using Java and/or C++ with a focus on existing codebases.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and enterprise integration patterns such as SOAP services, XML/JSON messaging, WSDL, and message queues is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with modernizing or integrating legacy systems, which includes refactoring, performance tuning, and adopting new technologies or frameworks incrementally.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline that provides robust software development skills.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Willingness to pursue IAT Level I (or higher) certification after hiring, with company support.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively within an agile team setting on a large-scale program.
- Take ownership of software solutions using Java, C++, and other contemporary programming languages.
- Embrace and implement new technologies (e.g., Angular, Rust, Scala) to address changing requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate technical challenges with efficient and effective solutions.
- Adapt swiftly to changing priorities and provide support for urgent tasks as required.
- Maintain clear communication with team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Occasionally travel to Manassas, VA, for integration and team collaboration.
