Requirements
Must:
- I require a Bachelor's degree and four (4) to eight (8) years of prior relevant development experience, or a Master’s degree with two (2) to six (6) years of prior relevant development experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
- You must have demonstrated experience with Java and familiarity with multiple technologies including Java/JEE, Python, C/C++, SQL, SOAP, WSDL, WADL, PERL, PowerShell, VBS, Eclipse, Postgres, Oracle, and Jenkins on Windows platforms.
- Experience in User Interface development, knowledge of databases and structures, and/or experience with XHTML, HTML, XML, XSLT is essential.
- You should have experience developing on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- A strong understanding of sound software development principles and practices is crucial.
- You must be able to plan and prioritize personal tasks and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Independent thinking is necessary, as you will be performing high-quality work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- An active/current TS/SCI Polygraph is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- As a Software Engineer, I expect you to perform software development activities as a part of an agile development team.
- You will participate actively in program increment planning and related team activities.
- I anticipate that you will analyze and study complex system requirements, utilize design software tools, and provide support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other design techniques.
- Employing sound software engineering principles, you will ensure that the developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault-tolerant, and reusable.
- You will manage software processes throughout the coding portion of the software development lifecycle.
- Promoting code reuse and cross-program collaboration to reduce maintenance costs is essential; you will create common functions and shared actions for developers and testers.
- I expect you to engineer, author, tune, and document automation scripts in a development environment and deploy them to the test and production bench.
