Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and have a minimum of 2-4 years of prior relevant software engineering or development experience. I understand that additional experience may substitute for my degree.
- I have demonstrated development experience with Java and possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- I have specific experience with Java/J2EE and one of the following: Python, C/C++, SQL, SOAP, WSDL, or WADL.
- I possess experience with User Interface development, knowledge of databases and structures, and/or experience working with XHTML, HTML, XML, XSLT.
- I have developed on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- I am familiar with one or more of the following: Java, Python, PERL, PowerShell, VBS, Eclipse, Postgres, Oracle, Jenkins on Windows platforms.
- I have a strong understanding of sound software development principles and practices.
- I can plan and prioritize my tasks effectively and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- I am an independent thinker, capable of performing high-quality work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- I will support a nationally significant and fast-paced cryptographic key management program, following DEVOPS best practices to manage development, testing, and production environments.
- As a member of an agile development team, I will perform software development activities, which include transforming agile stories into implementable concepts, through the complete cycle of development, testing, and deployment of new capabilities in a complex system.
- I will implement robust testing that leverages DEVOPS automation, utilizing test automation commercial tools where appropriate.
- I will analyze and resolve highly complex software issues related to various aspects and components of the system, collaborating with other experts to design, develop, and debug existing software, as well as design and develop enhancements.
- I will provide technical leadership for software development activities, actively participating in program increment planning and related team activities.
- My high-level software development functions will include design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs, using sound software engineering principles to ensure developed code is efficient, reliable, and reusable.

The pay range for my position is $65,000.00 - $117,500.00, acknowledging that this is a guideline and not a guarantee, dependent on various factors including responsibilities, education, experience, and market alignment.
My role involves experience in software development on Agile teams using practices such as Pair Programming and Behavior Driven Development (BDD), working with a range of technologies and tools that enhance our mission-driven work.
