Description
We are looking for a junior to mid-level Software Developer to join our dynamic team dedicated to creating and maintaining software that alleviates congestion in aircraft runways and terminals. With the rising nationwide congestion, efficient aircraft traffic planning has become increasingly vital. The FAA's Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) serves as the surface management solution, enabling NextGen Air Traffic Control capabilities to enhance operations within the National Airspace System (NAS). The TFDM program, part of the FAA’s NextGen initiative, aims to provide greater efficacy for airport surfaces and terminal airspace through an integrated surface traffic control and management system. This position is hybrid, allowing for three days in the office (preferred location in Eagan, MN or Gaithersburg, MD) and two days remote work each week. Our TFDM functions include surface collaborative decision making (SCDM), electronic flight data, and enhanced air traffic control tower traffic flow management systems. We are eager to find individuals who challenge norms, ask difficult questions, and actively engage in our mission of innovation. At Leidos, we excel by redefining the standards of our industry.
