Requirements
Must:
- Active Top Secret security clearance required, with TS-SCI Eligible status (DIA Adjudicated or eligible for reciprocal acceptance by DIA)
- Bachelors degree with 8+ years of relevant IT experience; additional work experience or cybersecurity courses/certifications may compensate for degree
- Over 5 years of experience in intrusion detection and/or incident management
- DoD 8570 IAT III and CSSP Incident Response certifications mandated before starting
- Previous experience in supervising personnel across diverse categories and skills in comparable projects
- Advanced expertise in solution development methodologies and best practices related to demonstration, pilot programs, and operational management
- Proven extensive knowledge of industry standards
- Experience in researching and deploying innovative technologies
- Proficient in configuring cybersecurity tools for event, alert, and log feeds to SIEM systems
- Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of producing detailed technical reports on analytical findings
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting competencies
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor staff supporting the Transport and End Point Services watch desk
- Conduct annual performance evaluations and facilitate regular check-ins
- Approve time entries for both Leidos and vendor personnel
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members
- Develop and implement strategies for Continuous Service Improvement to enhance operational processes and achieve strategic goals
- Offer technical leadership within the JSP DCO Security Operations Center
- Advocate for the adoption and integration of new tools, capabilities, frameworks, and methodologies across all SOC teams
- Deliver technical assistance and advice to the SOC lead
- Collaborate with the Security Infrastructure team to resolve issues related to SOC tools and data feeds
- Identify and propose solutions to enhance capabilities and visibility
- Promote automation and enhance process efficiencies within operational activities
