Requirements

Must:
- I hold a Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology (IT) technical field and have 5+ years of relevant IT experience. - I currently possess an active Secret clearance and can pass a drug test. - I have a DoD 8570 IAT Level I approved certification (such as CompTIA Security+). - My experience includes the development, implementation, and production support of a Microsoft Windows infrastructure/environment. - I understand server and datacenter infrastructure/environment. - My knowledge encompasses network services as related to a Microsoft Windows environment (e.g., DNS, Firewalls, Routers, Ports, and Protocols). - I have cybersecurity knowledge and Windows server 2019 and 2022 administration experience, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy, along with deploying Windows workstations/servers and migrating end-user data. - I have demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one or more of the following: Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs), etc. - I possess a general understanding of cryptographic concepts: symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, secure hash, and digital signatures. - I am able to maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers. - I am proactive, dependable, and accurate, with strong attention to detail and organization. - I have strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

- I provide on-site touch labor in a data center environment. - I build, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer workstations, servers, and IT-related peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.). - I manage and maintain both physical and virtual Windows infrastructures including domain controllers, domain name servers, file print servers, and shared drives. - I perform various system administration tasks, including Active Directory management and the creation and maintenance of Group Policies, Certificate Revocation Lists (CRL), and user/service accounts. - I validate the current security posture and perform system configuration changes to improve enterprise security as required or directed by higher authority. - I leverage Group Policy Objects, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tools, and Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs) to maintain required infrastructure security levels and system hardening. - I install and configure software, firmware, upgrades, and security updates/patches to secure Windows 10/11 and Server 2019/2022 operating systems and associated hardware. - I utilize system error logs, user-reported errors, and diagnostic scans to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems. - I assist in planning and implementing new hardware/software upgrades of IT infrastructure. - I provide support to engineers for architecture design analysis for technology refresh planning and implementation. - I perform periodic backup and restoration of servers. - I support temporary Service Response and continuity of operations as needed. - I monitor license and PKI Certificate status, coordinating renewal and installation as necessary. - I conduct technical analysis and provide documentation (Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting and monitoring, technical reports, etc.) for root cause analysis, technical assessment, and process improvement initiatives.

Description

Preferred qualifications for this role include a minimum of 1+ year of experience with PowerShell scripting, experience with certificate-enabled applications such as SSL/TLS, S/MIME, authentication, Encrypted File System, Code Signing, etc., and hands-on familiarity with AWS cloud services and environments. Additional familiarity with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops components, the ability to install and configure software and firmware updates for various operating systems and associated hardware, as well as experience with VMware solutions and related technologies will be advantageous. I recognize that the pay range for this position spans from $72,150.00 to $130,425.00, and I understand that factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, along with internal equity and market alignment, will be considered when extending an offer.
