Must:
- I require a Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology (IT) technical field and 5+ years of relevant IT experience. - An active Secret clearance is mandatory, and I will ask you to pass a drug test. - A DoD 8570 IAT Level I approved certification (CompTIA Security+) is essential. - You should have experience in the development, implementation, and production support of a Microsoft Windows infrastructure/environment. - An understanding of network services related to the Microsoft Windows environment (e.g., DNS, Firewalls, Routers, Ports and Protocols) is needed. - I expect knowledge of cybersecurity and Windows server 2019 and 2022 administration experience, including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and the deployment of Windows workstations/servers along with the migration of end-user data. - Familiarity with Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs) is a plus. - A general understanding of cryptographic concepts (symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, secure hash, digital signatures) is desired. - Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers are essential. - You should be proactive, dependable, and accurate, with a strong attention to detail and organization, along with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

- I will have you build, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer workstations, servers, and IT-related peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.). - You will manage and maintain both physical and virtual Windows infrastructures, including domain controllers, domain name servers, file print servers, and shared drives. - Your tasks will include performing various system administration duties, such as Active Directory management, creating and maintaining Group Policies, Certificate Revocation Lists (CRL), and user/service accounts. - I expect you to validate the current security posture and implement system configuration changes as directed to improve enterprise security. - You will leverage Group Policy Objects, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs) to maintain required infrastructure security levels and system hardening. - Installing and configuring software, firmware, and security updates/patches for Windows 10/11 and Server 2019/2022 operating systems and associated hardware will be part of your role. - I will need you to utilize system error logs, user-reported errors, and diagnostics scans to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues. - You will assist in planning and implementing new hardware/software upgrades for the IT infrastructure, provide support to engineers for architecture design analysis for technology refresh planning and implementation, and perform periodic backup and restoration of servers. - You will monitor license and PKI Certificate status on the systems and coordinate the renewal and installation as necessary. - Conducting technical analysis and providing documentation (Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting, monitoring, technical reports, etc.) for root cause analysis, technical assessment, and process improvement initiatives will also be part of your responsibilities.

We are seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator for a position as part of a team supporting the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) in Pensacola, FL. This is an onsite position; full-time telework is not allowed. While subject to change based on business needs, we reasonably anticipate that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days, with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date. The pay range for this role is $72,150.00 - $130,425.00. Please note that this range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
