Requirements
Must:
- I require a Bachelor's Degree and 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, including 6+ years in the design, development, integration, implementation, operation, and analysis of Windows systems. Additional years of experience, training, and/or professional certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Candidates should have experience troubleshooting and resolving complex systems administration issues in an enterprise environment.
- A strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to work well under direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, as I need someone capable of understanding, documenting, communicating, and presenting technical issues in a non-technical manner to diverse audiences.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational skills and a capacity to multitask while managing competing and changing priorities.
- Proficiency in understanding and applying NIST SP 800-53 control families to enhance system security and document control compliance is necessary.
- I seek demonstrated experience in cybersecurity design, engineering, and operations, ensuring robust security protocols.
- Experience managing Active Directory and Group Policies, as well as implementing STIGs in a Windows environment, is essential.
- Candidates should be capable of identifying inefficiencies within the IT environment and implementing effective remediations.
Responsibilities
- I will rely on the selected candidate to provide leadership and hands-on engineering and administration support within our team responsible for O&M and engineering services for various systems.
- Responsibilities will include overseeing Hardware (Dell laptops & Servers), Virtualization (vSphere ESXi, vCenter, vRealize Operation Manager), and Windows Administration (Windows Server, Windows 10, Active Directory, MECM, SQL Servers).
- You will serve as the system owner for Windows infrastructure systems, offering services to other SOC stakeholders.
- I expect you to design, develop, or recommend integrated system solutions that ensure the protection of proprietary and confidential data and systems, participating with clients in the strategic design process to translate security and business needs into technical designs.
- Additionally, you will configure and validate secure systems and test security products/systems to detect vulnerabilities.
- Support throughout the project lifecycle for infrastructure and technology projects is necessary, which includes assisting with inventory, procurement efforts, and the development of Bill of Materials for budgetary quotes.
- I expect participation in team lead sessions, acting as a conduit with the program leadership team, which includes weekly/monthly reporting, recognizing employees for achievements, and contributing to program planning for recurring meetings.
Description
- Preferred qualifications include formal leadership training, experience managing an IT Infrastructure functional team, and expertise with McAfee ePO (ENS, Drive Encryption). Familiarity with Storage solutions like Brocade, NetApp, and PureStorage is also beneficial.
- Cyber Security Training or Certification (e.g., Security+, Network+, Splunk, FireEye) is preferred. Experience with migrating IT infrastructure from on-premises to cloud-based systems or adeptly managing hybrid environments is a plus, along with Microsoft Certifications such as AZ-800, AZ-801, or equivalent credentials.
- US Citizenship is required, and candidates must have or be capable of obtaining a current security clearance, specifically a Top-Secret Clearance.
- The pay range for this position is $126,100.00 - $227,950.00, reflecting factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
