Must:
We require a Master's degree and a minimum of 15 years of experience, although this requirement may be reduced with a Doctorate degree in network engineering, computer science, or a related subject. Candidates must possess an active and in-scope TS/SCI with Poly to be considered for this role. Additionally, an active/current basic CCNA certification is necessary. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model, hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools, along with experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco appliances, routing and switching, including routing protocols. Proficiency in writing scripts for Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls is also important. Finally, the ability to work well both individually and in a team environment, along with maintaining professional behavior with all stakeholders, is essential. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs. and climb 30 ft.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network appliances such as routers, switches, and firewalls. I will monitor the entire network infrastructure (LAN & WAN) and provide regular reports. Collaborating closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure network optimization and the timely completion of other tasks will be a key part of my responsibilities. I will ensure network uptime, performance, and security, document and enforce network standards, and manage and maintain the IP addressing schema. Additionally, I must be willing to travel OCONUS as needed and maintain the network lab in Chantilly, VA.

The National Security Sector of Leidos is seeking an experienced and fully cleared Network Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. Our team is made up of highly technical and motivated individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment. We are looking for an excellent problem solver who is capable of troubleshooting complex issues and implementing cutting-edge solutions. Candidates with OCONUS experience are highly desired. This role will involve approximately 50% travel to OCONUS locations and will require strong communication skills due to our program's collaboration across varying time zones. We value a demonstrated ability to perform in cross-functional teams to achieve timely results.
The pay range for this position is between $134,550.00 and $243,225.00, based on experience and other factors.
