Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in a combined role of system administration and information assurance.
- Demonstrated experience in Information Assurance positions such as Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Information System Security Officer (ISSO), or Security Control Assessor (SCA).
- Experience in documentation creation for Authority to Operate (ATO) management.
- Proficient with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tools for compliance tracking.
- In-depth knowledge of the Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- Holds one or more relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CAP.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills, able to convey complex IA concepts to diverse audiences.
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Must hold a valid U.S. passport and be open to extensive travel.
- Currently possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Execute ISSM/ISSO duties as the lead IA subject matter expert, reviewing system audits and proposing strategic enhancements for overall security.
- Develop, manage, and keep current all documentation critical for securing and maintaining a systems Authority to Operate (ATO), ensuring precise evidence is compiled for ATO requests and extensions.
- Identify, monitor, and manage all configuration changes, implementing and validating system security controls to ensure compliance using STIGs and SCAP.
- Conduct thorough maintenance on multiple core IT systems, including IA scans, applying patches, managing configurations, replacing hardware, and updating software.
- Perform field maintenance and system grooming to optimize performance, providing additional IA support and assisting with installations and testing as required.
