Requirements

Must:
- I hold a Master's Degree and have more than 15 years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity; additional degrees can be considered in place of some years of experience. - I have experience working for or collaborating with a U.S. government cybersecurity service provider. - I possess over 8 years of experience in analysis, threat hunting, and/or purple/blue team operations. - I am certified with 8570 IAT I & IAM II (e.g., Security+), and hold CSSP Analyst certifications (e.g., CEH, GCIH, etc.). - I currently maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. - My background includes at least 5 years of experience in analysis, threat hunting, or purple/blue team roles. - I possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and can effectively brief senior leadership (SES & Flag Officer) on cybersecurity threat activities and trends when needed.

Responsibilities

- I will conduct proactive threat hunting across our subscribers' networks, identifying and investigating potential threats before they can inflict harm or disruption. - I will utilize both new and existing cybersecurity tools and approaches to identify, analyze, and mitigate cyber threats, while integrating threat intelligence into our sensing infrastructure. - I will discern threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures, developing countermeasures (such as custom signatures and correlation logic) to detect and/or reduce adversary activity. - I will collaborate with both internal and external partners, including IT, network, and security teams, to enhance the overall cybersecurity stance of subscriber systems. - I will stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, providing recommendations to boost threat detection and response capabilities. - I will develop and deliver cybersecurity training for the threat hunting team, network defense team, and other relevant staff to enhance their understanding and response capabilities. - As a senior member of the team, I will act as a mentor, fostering professional growth and a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - I will oversee the development of detailed reports on findings and remediation actions, effectively communicating with senior management and other relevant stakeholders. - I will participate in incident response operations as an expert during significant incidents, suggesting remediation actions based on threat analysis.
