Requirements
Must:
- I require a current Top Secret security clearance, SCI eligibility, and the ability to pass a Polygraph and an FBI full scope field background investigation.
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a relevant field is essential; a master’s degree in these areas is preferred. I will consider experience in lieu of a degree.
- You should have a minimum of eight years of professional experience in reverse engineering, cybersecurity, or software development roles, with a significant focus on advanced reverse engineering activities.
- Advanced skills in reverse engineering are required, along with experience in Agile practices to drive efficiency, collaboration, and innovation.
- At least three years of experience working in Agile environments is needed, particularly in roles involving project management or leadership.
- Familiarity with industry-standard Reverse Engineering tools (such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, JEB, Hopper) is necessary to evaluate how closed-source software functions.
- You must have experience developing, debugging, and/or reverse engineering code in popular mobile programming languages (e.g., Java, Objective-C, Swift, etc.).
- Experience with the exploitation of mobile devices or the software within them to gain access to protected information is critical.
- I expect you to have the ability to analyze file structures and identify standard methods for encoding data.
- Experience analyzing raw binary data is essential, along with a demonstrable ability to write programs in various languages, including C, C++, C#, Python, and Java.
- Experience working across multiple OS platforms, such as Linux, MacOS, Windows, Android, and iOS, is required.
- I need you to be able to review others’ code using a distributed version control system, namely git.
- Knowledge of iOS and Android mobile development languages, including Java, Objective-C, or Swift, and the ability to write and debug ARM assembly code is important.
Responsibilities
- As the Senior Cyber Capability Developer (Reverse Engineer), you will lead advanced reverse engineering efforts to analyze software binaries, firmware, and systems, uncovering vulnerabilities and extracting proprietary algorithms while understanding complex functionalities.
- You will apply Agile methodologies and use your technical analysis and project management expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects within Agile environments.
- Your responsibilities will include driving the discovery and analysis of security vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and design flaws in software applications and systems using comprehensive reverse engineering techniques.
- You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior reverse engineers, guiding them in advanced analysis methodologies, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery of project milestones will be crucial.
- You will document reverse engineering findings, analysis methodologies, and project progress, preparing technical reports and presentations to effectively communicate results, recommendations, and project status.
- I expect you to continuously improve reverse engineering processes and practices within the team, identifying opportunities for optimization and driving innovation in reverse engineering techniques.
