Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field with 8–12 years of relevant experience OR a Masters degree in a related discipline with 6–10 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Experience with CloudOne and familiarity with its internal processes.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
- At least one foundational qualification consistent with DoD 8140 requirements, such as a current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification suitable for Intermediate System Administrator roles (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in cloud operations engineering or a related area for a minimum of 6 years.
- Proficiency in managing and sustaining cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with system administration in secure DoD or Federal settings.
- Knowledge of implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
- Familiarity with containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in supporting DevSecOps pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
- Knowledge of RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity protocols.
- Strong analytical skills and capability for root cause analysis.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Competence in developing and deploying systems using Infrastructure as Code.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and enhance cloud infrastructure environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) that support various services.
- Provide operational system administration and deployment assistance across various cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and private cloud systems.
- Set up, test, and implement COTS, FOSS, and custom solutions within both commercial and on-premises cloud settings.
- Oversee compute, storage, networking, and platform services across multiple cloud environments.
- Implement and sustain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation for cloud setup and configuration management.
- Support DevSecOps pipelines by facilitating automated deployment, integration, and monitoring of cloud applications.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability while applying enhancements to optimize operations.
- Execute system administration tasks such as patching, upgrades, configuration management, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure adherence to NIST SP 800-53, RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity directives.
- Assist with asset management, backup strategies, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations (COOP) processes.
- Identify and rectify operational challenges affecting system performance, scalability, and uptime.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps, cybersecurity, data engineering, and software development teams to enable integrated delivery.
- Engage in incident response and operational troubleshooting efforts.
- Produce and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
