Requirements

Must:
- I hold a High School Diploma and have accumulated ten (10) years of relevant experience in information technology (IT), which includes at least six (6) years of utilizing Active Directory and/or Exchange, specifically in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level Active Directory solutions. - I am certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III. - I am a U.S. citizen and possess a DoD Secret security clearance. - I have enhanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10, Microsoft Active Directory, TCP/IP protocols, and Group Policies. - I hold MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification in Productivity or Messaging. - I have demonstrated experience in using, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows computer platforms within an Active Directory environment. - I possess a highly developed customer service ethic, complemented by a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences. - I have experience managing compliance with license agreements and monitoring user access to the system. - I have experience in monitoring and optimizing the performance of the Microsoft Exchange system. - I have experience in planning, executing, and maintaining system backup and recovery. - I possess a solid understanding of Windows credential stores such as Microsoft Active Directory and their related security capabilities and functions. - I am known for my tact, diplomacy, and professionalism while interacting with diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

- I perform root cause analyses of critical outages and incidents, craft permanent solutions, and oversee their implementation. I execute life-cycle events for Active Directory network group objects, including creating new group objects, modifying attributes, changing object types, and deactivating or deleting group objects. - I provide technical guidance, advice, and recommendations to clients and technical specialists regarding critical Exchange and Windows software enhancements, updates, and vulnerability issues. I suggest mitigation strategies and ensure effective coordination and collaboration on upgrade activities, successfully implementing server infrastructure hardening in relevant roles. - I establish, enforce, and monitor security policies and procedures to ensure the appropriate usage of information systems. I create and implement domain-level security policies, such as authentication mechanisms, password rules, and apply security patches and anti-virus updates as released by software manufacturers. - I collaborate in researching, planning, designing, and assessing current and future Windows infrastructure needs, including configuration, maintenance, optimization, and documentation. I lead or assist in the planning and installation of Active Directory Network components and upgrade system software and hardware as needed to fulfill client requirements. - I act as the IT liaison and escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, offering guidance in the resolution of complex production or system problems. - I serve as the initial escalation support for domain technology issues that cannot be resolved by tier one and tier two server support. - I take ownership of creating and maintaining system documentation for domain technologies, which includes installation, configuration, and troubleshooting steps. I identify and engage in improvement opportunities spanning service delivery, user experience, and security, assisting in the design, testing, and implementation of computer and network software projects to meet both client and user needs.

- Preferred qualifications include prior experience with Navy NGEN or Marine Corps MCEN and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and military experience. - Certifications such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) are also considered advantageous. - Experience with Microsoft Teams/O365 in an enterprise setting is a bonus. - This opportunity is part of the Navy Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) program, which involves an eight-year, $7.7 billion contract aimed at maintaining and modernizing the Navy and Marine Corps' primary global network. We are looking to welcome a Sr. Active Directory Exchange Specialist to our team in Quantico, VA. The anticipated pay range for this role varies from $72,150.00 to $130,425.00.
