Requirements
Must:
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start
- DOD-8570 CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 6 months of start
- Bachelors degree and 12+ years of professional experience; relevant work experience may substitute for degree
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in deploying and maintaining cybersecurity tools, particularly IDS/IPS technologies
- Proven experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting cybersecurity infrastructures
- Strong understanding of network traffic and communication protocols, including ports and services
- Proficient with Windows and Linux operating systems and their command line interfaces
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with government officials, contractors, and internal teams to establish and oversee cybersecurity policies, rules, and signatures
- Address and manage high-priority tasks and outages
- Develop, maintain, and enhance standard operating procedures and tactics for security infrastructure
- Keep current schematic representations for all managed security equipment
- Ensure adherence to applicable change control protocols
- Consult with government and program leadership to enhance security infrastructure, applying multi-faceted problem-solving skills
- Deliver briefings to program leadership, government officials, and internal stakeholders on security infrastructure developments
- Operate and manage cybersecurity capabilities such as IDS/IPS, Netflow, SIEM, Snort, and virtualization technologies
- Uphold compliance standards

We are a dynamic cybersecurity team operating within the J6 Penetration Handling, Incident, System Health (PHISH) support services task order on the GSM-O contract. Our mission is to provide essential IT products, services, and solutions to the Pentagon and various DoD offices, focusing on cyber defense to thwart, detect, respond to and recover from threats. Located in Alexandria, VA, we foster an environment that encourages innovative thinking and proactive solutions, ensuring we stay ahead of the rapidly evolving cyber landscape.
