Requirements
Must:
- I have experience with Tier 2 system administration of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) servers and troubleshooting customer issues utilizing the service.
- I am skilled in Scripting/Automation using Microsoft PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- I have a record of effectively interacting with customers to handle service inquiries and problems.
- I possess experience troubleshooting issues in a growing environment.
- I am proficient in log reviews, incident analysis, and identification of issue trends.
- I have experience with server patch management methodologies.
- I am knowledgeable in Operating System (OS), software, and patch deployments via SCCM/MECM.
- I can manage time appropriately, triage incidents, and respond accordingly to issues impacting mission-critical customers and services.
- I demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
- I have a proven track record of working effectively within a team and supporting peers toward improved processes and results.
- I am familiar with IT Service Management solutions such as Service Now or Remedy.
- I meet DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) – IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher).
Responsibilities
- I interact with customers to handle service inquiries and problems.
- I support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of SCCM/MECM Distribution Points and core servers, rapidly distinguishing isolated user problems from enterprise-wide application/system problems.
- I coordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, conduct analyses, develop, and implement solutions associated with incident tickets and requirements.
- I document initial troubleshooting for complex issues and coordinate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams to assist with resolution.
- I provide follow-up reports (technical findings, feedback, resolution steps taken) for root cause analysis, engineering technical assessments, and process improvement initiatives.
- I assist Deskside Support personnel experiencing issues reimaging workstations and troubleshoot local Distribution Point access.
- I support customer requirements in a 24/7/365 mission environment.
- I provide general systems administration mentoring and training to IT Operations Center (ITOC) personnel.
- I develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and monitoring documentation for ITOC personnel.
Description
We are looking for a highly technical and customer-oriented SCCM/MECM System Administrator to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. In this role, you will maintain operations across multiple enclaves, classifications, and time zones, ensuring the functionality of our services while working collaboratively within a team environment. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the capability to capture customer inquiries accurately. Additionally, you should be adept at troubleshooting complex issues and implementing corrective actions to facilitate a seamless user experience.
You will need to have a Bachelor’s degree along with 2-4 years of relevant experience, a Master’s degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 4 years of related experience, or a High School Diploma with 6 years of related experience can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
Security clearance requirements include U.S. Citizenship, and a TS/SCI with Polygraph is needed for this position, or a TS/SCI with the willingness to obtain and maintain a specific polygraph.
