Must:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering) and 4–8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience working in teams to develop and integrate radar and/or electronic warfare sensor technologies.
- A solid technical foundation in technologies supporting RF and EW sensors, including real-time software, high-speed networking and/or storage technologies, and radar signal processing algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of C++ and principles of object-oriented design.
- A robust background in software engineering, familiar with defining and enforcing engineering best practices (like configuration management, coding standards, code reviews, testability, and design for reusability).
- Capability to identify business development prospects and assist in proposal activities.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- U.S. citizenship and possession of an active Secret clearance.
- Residence in the North Alabama area or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville–North Alabama region.
Responsibilities
As part of our team based at Leidos’ headquarters in Huntsville, AL, you will:
- Collaborate with executive leadership, program managers, chief engineers, technical personnel, business development teams, and functional organizations within Leidos to ensure effective management of new and ongoing programs that support various Department of Defense clients and contractors.
- Lead the growth of a talented engineering team while mentoring junior engineers to become effective technical contributors and future leaders in the organization.
- Provide technical guidance for maintaining and expanding software and firmware codebases related to radar and electronic warfare sensor systems, focusing on real-time system architectures and signal processing algorithms.
- Nurture existing customer relationships and forge new ones to enhance and expand our customer base.
