Requirements

Must:
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 6 years of directly related experience. Additional years of experience, certifications, or training may substitute for the degree requirement. You should have proven abilities and experience in manufacturing and industry practices and standards, along with knowledge of electrical-mechanical equipment installation, repair, troubleshooting, and documentation. The ability to work closely with onsite staff and customers, both independently and in a team environment, is essential. Expertise with EXCEL and PROJECT software is required, and we appreciate individuals who are very organized, detail-oriented, and exhibit a strong work ethic. Additionally, you must have the ability to travel and clear screening processes for access to US Navy facilities and work onboard US Navy vessels. Experience in the US Navy or at US military facilities/shipyards is a plus, along with other manufacturing industrial plant experience.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will function within an engineering manufacturing environment to meet customer delivery schedules. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Managing Equipment Material Procurement, which involves developing Material Releases, Work Orders/Route Cards for new contracts, and resolving issues related to procurement. - Supporting Proposal and Quote development by contributing to the review of proposals and Basis-of-Estimate (BOEs) documentation. - Assisting the site manager and financial analyst with project planning and scheduling related to labor hours and material, establishing realistic equipment delivery schedules. - Tracking project progress by working with purchasing to ensure Material Releases in Excel are updated and accurate. - Providing direction and support to shop technicians, maintaining equipment supplies, and assisting with training while monitoring shop equipment calibration and safety requirements. - Undergoing initial training with current staff on processes and procedures, equipment, customers, drawings, quality, and ISO documentation. - Demonstrating a basic understanding of mechanical engineering manufacturing details and the ability to collaborate with outside machine shop suppliers when needed. - Multi-tasking to meet and exceed delivery dates while ensuring safe work practices in accordance with established operating procedures.

The pay range for this position is between $81,250.00 and $146,875.00, and while this serves as a general guideline, actual compensation will consider various factors such as job responsibilities, qualifications, and market data.
