Requirements

Must:
- I have a Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience. - I possess the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. - I have experience designing, deploying, and operating software-defined networking solutions. - I possess expert understanding of networking in the areas of LAN, WAN, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, proxies, routing (L2/L3), firewalls, and software-defined networking. - I have experience implementing dual-stack networking to use both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses simultaneously. - I understand Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA. - I can work effectively within a distributed technical team, aided by strong written and verbal communication skills. - I am familiar with the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence. - I hold a current IAT Level II (or higher) Certification such as Security + or CISSP.

Responsibilities

- I provide thought leadership to a team of network engineers, actively identifying opportunities for improvement, including innovations aimed at improving the user experience, enhancing efficiencies, and lowering sustainment costs. - I design, maintain, and operate Wireless and Local Area Networks (LANs/WLAN) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) using Infrastructure as Code and Ansible Automation Platform. - I lead the migration of DISA and other DoD organizations to IPv6. - I automate network changes across various vendor platforms and Azure Cloud. - I provide inputs to the design of the enterprise’s network and mission architecture. - I evaluate network architectures across platforms to ensure alignment with cloud and network modernization strategies, capabilities, and requirement sets. - I enforce security best practices and guidelines, leveraging my knowledge of security policies, network security, and data security.

Description

Leidos is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Department of Defense (DoD) Fourth Estate Agencies. In this role, I will design, develop, configure, and deploy network services within the Azure Cloud and data centers to fulfill end user requirements. I am also eligible for external referral bonuses, and while this job requisition may change based on business needs, it is anticipated that the position will remain open for at least 3 days post the original posting date. The pay range for this level is between $122,200.00 and $220,900.00. Final compensation will consider responsibilities, education, experience, and other relevant factors.
