Requirements

Must:
We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications: - A Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent mix of education and experience). - Currently holds a DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE, or an equivalent certification. - Demonstrated experience in analyzing VLAN, routing, IP addressing, and sub-netting. - Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 appliances, and Splunk systems. - Proficiency in troubleshooting and configuring IP networks using at least one of the following routing methods: BGP, ISIS, OSPF, or Static routing. - Experience with service provider or enterprise IP networks utilizing Cisco (ESR and ASR) and/or Juniper routers. - Knowledge of ports and protocols. - Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

As a Network Engineer, your primary duties will include: - Executing engineering activities related to the design, implementation, and integration of network modifications, as well as maintaining customer systems in a Wide Area Network setting. - Conducting planning and performing analytical research, design development, and associated tasks to meet customer requirements. - Managing network systems to assure 99% or better uptime and connectivity. - Ensuring the effective delivery of contracted capabilities using industry best practices and consistent processes. - Mitigating risks, managing costs and schedule variances, and overseeing large-scale, integrated projects effectively. - Performing a variety of analytical tasks that encompass hardware and software design and implementation.

We proudly support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which operates and ensures command and control of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) services for the Department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This role is integral to enhancing the capabilities and services provided by DISA. This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance, and the anticipated salary range is between $80,000 to $85,000.
