Requirements

Must:
- I have a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of practical Network Administration experience in LAN technologies; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. - I hold an active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE). - I possess a CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, which I am required to obtain within 90 days from the date of hire. - I am proficient with TACACs+, data packet capture, traffic analysis, and vulnerability analysis and remediation. - I am skilled in configuring CISCO devices using EIGRP, BGP, SNMP, TCP/IP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, ARP, dot1Q, VLANs, VPN, GRE, IPSEC, subnetting, NAT, access control lists, and various other routing and networking protocols. - I have experience with data packet capture, traffic analysis, and vulnerability analysis & remediation. - I possess exceptional customer service skills and have demonstrated the ability to work with a wide variety of teams and service providers. - I have a thorough knowledge of the OSI model and its application to various transmission protocols, and multi-protocol routing including VRF, VPN, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPLS, and VPRN.

Responsibilities

- I will work as part of a watch team providing support and coordinating responses on network outages with Voice, Video, IP, Transport, OSP Construction, and local Operations Engineers to ensure quick and thorough resolution Monday through Friday. - I am accountable for maintaining daily operations, monitoring, problem identification/resolution of servers/systems, applications, operating systems, and analyzing activity and performance to ensure systems/applications provide optimal performance and availability. - I will assist with network outage isolation and troubleshooting, performing event notifications to internal and external customers. - I will identify, diagnose, and resolve problems affecting network performance escalations. - I will triage and work tickets to find solutions that correct customer network issues and faults. - I will perform other duties as assigned, including departmental and cross-functional projects.

Description

I am excited to join Leidos National Security Sector as a full-time Network Engineer for the 2nd shift at our customer site at the National Maritime Intelligence Center in Suitland, MD. The 2nd shift hours are from 4pm to 12am, and shifts may occasionally change due to operational needs. As a member of our team, I will be part of network administration and engineering support for elements within the National Maritime Intelligence Center and locations around the world as part of the operations watch. In addition to a competitive salary and benefits, this position offers a schedule that promotes a healthy work/life balance while providing 24x5 support to our customer. Security Clearance Required: Current DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance is necessary. Pay Range: $72,150.00 - $130,425.00. This pay range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
