Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, computer science, or a related subject with a minimum of 8+, 12+, or 15+ years of experience, depending on education, training, skills, and experience. Experience requirements may be reduced with a Master’s or Doctorate degree in network engineering, computer science, or a related subject.
- Must possess an active and in-scope TS/SCI with Poly to be considered.
- Active/current basic CCNA certification.
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools.
- Experience configuring/troubleshooting Cisco appliances and routing and switching, including routing protocols.
- Experience writing scripts for Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Ability to work well individually and within a team environment while maintaining professional behavior with all stakeholders.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb 30 ft.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network appliances (routers, switches, and firewalls).
- Monitor the entire network infrastructure (LAN & WAN) and provide regular reporting.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure network optimization and the completion of other tasks.
- Ensure network uptime, performance, and security.
- Document and enforce network standards.
- Manage and maintain IP addressing schema.
- Travel OCONUS as needed.
- Maintain the network lab in Chantilly, VA.
Description
We are Leidos, currently searching for several Senior Network Engineers of varying experience levels to join our motivated and highly technical team in Chantilly, VA. Our engineers assist in troubleshooting complex problems and implementing cutting-edge solutions, so we value excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment. OCONUS experience is highly desired, with 50% travel required to OCONUS locations. Our program consists of both CONUS and OCONUS teams interacting regularly across varying time zones, which necessitates excellent communication skills and flexibility in teamwork and tasking. We are also offering a salary range of $112,450.00 - $203,275.00, and note that this is a sourcing posting; the listed salary range may be adjusted based on the level of the position that you are selected for.
