Requirements
Must:
We are seeking candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, or equivalent combined education and experience with at least 3 years of professional experience. You should have over 3 years of experience with networks, specifically in Network Administration and Troubleshooting. Familiarity with Windows Systems administration tools and processes, such as user account management and profile issue resolution, is essential. Additionally, you should have experience in coordinating problem resolution and collaborating across various IT functional areas. We value the proven capability to handle multiple tasks and events concurrently while meeting deadlines. An active TS/SCI government security clearance is also required.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to monitor, install, modify, test, and maintain network equipment. You will also assist and mentor junior support staff, as well as address networking and customer-related challenges. Supporting engineers in troubleshooting network instability will be a key aspect of your duties. Good communication with customers and our leadership team regarding operational continuity impacts will be crucial. Furthermore, I expect you to have a comprehensive understanding of network and device interrelations and the ability to prioritize effectively, especially during service outages or degradation.
Description
Our organization, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), requires ongoing Homeland Enterprise Information Technology Services (HEITS) for the operation, maintenance, and development of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN). The individual we choose will support the HEITS management team by monitoring customer network data, applications, and operational architecture in a 24/7 Operating Center environment to ensure Service Level Agreements are achieved. Preferred Qualifications: We would appreciate candidates with prior DHS experience, relevant networking certifications, or Microsoft certifications, as well as Security+ and CCNA credentials. Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $50,050.00 - $90,475.00. Please note that this range is a general guideline and not a guaranteed salary. Several factors will be taken into account when extending an offer, including the responsibilities of the position, education, experience, skills, and internal equity, aligned with market data.
