Must:
I am looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree along with eleven (11) or more years of applicable experience, or a master’s degree with three years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an associate’s degree paired with seven years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED with nine years of relevant experience may be acceptable for individuals who have extensive experience directly related to this position. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
You should possess strong proficiency in Python, particularly using Pandas and PySpark, and be experienced with software development in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 – 5+). Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks, machine learning, and AWS EMR is also required. Notably, you must hold an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph to be eligible for this role.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to transition the functionality of the PostGIS database and the Jupyter Notebook as per customer requirements. You will be tasked with developing prototypes that address new inquiries and enhance responses to existing questions based on client needs. Additionally, I require you to create a series of user-facing query forms that utilize stored data to assist analysts in answering geospatial questions. Your responsibilities also include offering development support to analytic front ends to ensure conformity and performance with proposed GUI designs, as well as maintaining and supporting customized analytics. Lastly, I will rely on your subject matter expertise for metric generation, usage, and applications.
