Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree with over 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 10 years.
- Proficient in Oracle database management, including upgrades and maintenance.
- Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, and various other database types.
- Ability to integrate different data types into cloud containers, such as AWS S3.
- Strong understanding of Database Management Systems (DBMS) and principles of database design.
- Proven experience with database migrations and connectors for data lakes or repositories.
- Must be eligible to obtain DHS EOD SCI clearance.
Responsibilities
As a Database Engineer, you will:
- Maintain and support the backend infrastructure of the Insider Threat Program (ITP) database.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as reindexing, backups, transaction log truncation, and cluster management.
- Design and implement database encryption solutions, including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
- Document and uphold configuration baselines.
- Develop and execute plans for system recapitalization to accommodate capacity growth.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all database infrastructure.
- Create and optimize stored procedures, queries, and views.
- Support features and integrations of the data warehouse.
- Enhance database schemas for referential integrity, cascading transactions, indexing, and performance.
