Must:
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and over 8 years of experience or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience (additional years of relevant experience may be accepted instead of a degree). You must currently possess and be able to maintain an active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) prior to starting employment. Candidates should have proven experience supporting Cisco SDWAN and an understanding of Software Defined Networking (SDN) principles. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, as well as experience with Red Hat, is expected. Hands-on experience with InfoVista and familiarity with at least two of the following vendor network technologies: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Dell, or AppGate is essential. Additionally, experience using ServiceNow, along with a solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as LAN, WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, and Firewalls is required. Applicants should also demonstrate proficiency in enterprise network management tools like Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, or Junos Space and be conversant with protocols such as SFTP, SSH, SCP, SNMP, and NTP. Your capability to collaborate as part of a team to troubleshoot and resolve intricate network problems is crucial, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will operate and maintain secure network solutions that function as a centralized enterprise capability for the US Army. You'll provide 24/7 AGUN operations support, focusing on delivering updates to the Global Cyber Center (GCC) to ensure effective command and control of the AGUN network. Your duties will include executing standard policy and configuration alterations to the AGUN network, implementing common remediation workflows that are pre-approved. Additionally, you will manage, triage, and track workflows and service requests within JIRA Service Desk and GCC Service Now, providing situational awareness on ticket resolution and status updates as per GCC directives. You will escalate issues through the Jira Service Desk ticketing system as necessary, and collaborate with key stakeholders and technical experts for legacy environment discovery to assess current capabilities and configurations while delivering tier III support for the Army's global network. Your responsibilities will also involve gathering, investigating, and identifying network optimization strategies and techniques to meet performance and capacity standards.
