Requirements

Must:
- I require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with over 8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with at least 6 years of experience (additional years of applicable experience may substitute for a degree). - I expect you to possess an active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) or an equivalent certification prior to employment. - You should have demonstrated experience supporting Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW). - Knowledge in Software Defined Networking (SDN) concepts is important. - I am looking for demonstrated experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware. - Experience with Red Hat is required. - Hands-on experience with InfoVista is necessary. - You must have experience working with two or more of the following vendor network technologies: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Dell, or AppGate. - I need you to have demonstrated experience using ServiceNow. - You should have a strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including LAN, WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Routing (L2/L3), and Firewalls. - Experience in using enterprise network management tools such as Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, or Junos Space is a must. - You should be familiar with protocols such as SFTP, SSH, SCP, SNMP, and NTP. - I am looking for someone who can effectively work within a team environment to lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex network issues. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

- You will operate and sustain secure network solutions, functioning as a centralized enterprise capability for the US Army. - I need you to support 24/7 AGUN operations, providing updates to the Global Cyber Center (GCC) to facilitate command and control of the AGUN network. - You will implement standard policy and configuration changes to the AGUN network, addressing common remediation or normalized pre-approved workflows. - I require you to manage, triage, track, and update workflows and service tickets in both JIRA Service Desk and GCC Service Now. - You will provide situational awareness on ticket resolution status and offer updates as directed by the GCC. - Escalating tickets and issues through the Jira Service Desk to higher-tier teams when necessary will be a part of your duties. - I expect you to collaborate with key stakeholders and technical experts to perform legacy environment assessments, evaluating current capabilities, configurations, and requirements to provide tier III support for the Army's global network. - You will collect, investigate, and identify strategies and techniques for network optimization to meet capacity and performance standards.

- Preferred qualifications include being a Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) or having an equivalent certification. - Demonstrated experience with Linux shell scripting is a plus. - Experience with GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipeline development is desirable. - Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence is advantageous. - Experience managing trouble tickets and escalations will be beneficial. - Experience with NetSecOps technologies such as salt, git, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, and network element managers is preferred. - Knowledge of Network Performance Management tools (SNMP, NETMON, LiveAction) is a bonus. - I appreciate any experience in tools like Netflow, Elastic, Kafka, Grafana, Prometheus, or Nexus Repo. - You should demonstrate expertise in designing and enhancing complex, geographically distributed enterprise networks. - An in-depth understanding of US Army security requirements for network infrastructure is highly valued. The anticipated pay range for this position is between $89,700 and $162,150. Please note that this range serves as a general guideline and not a guaranteed salary. Factors considered for extending an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
