Must:
I seek a candidate with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in system administration on Linux servers, networking devices, and security monitoring tools. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, although I may consider additional experience in place of formal education. I require at least 8 years of experience providing System Administration for Department of Defense IT systems. You must hold an IAT Level I certification such as A+, CCNA-Security, Network+, SSCP, or Security+ CE. As a U.S. citizen, you should have the ability to acquire and maintain a Secret clearance. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary is also essential.

Responsibilities

In this role, I expect you to support the installation and maintenance of Linux servers utilizing tools like Ansible and Kickstart. You will assist in troubleshooting issues from the operating system level to application-level challenges. Additionally, you will manage networking devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the configuration and upkeep of core enclave infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, email systems, Apache Web Servers, Tomcat application servers, and PostgreSQL database servers. I anticipate you will configure and monitor security tools required for DoD networks and actively participate in discussions to enhance the capabilities, performance, and security posture of both new and existing services.

The Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) program at Leidos is expanding its team and looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator. Our goal is to create tools for the United States Department of Defense’s test and training communities, which will expedite the development cycle and deliver enhanced capabilities to the warfighter more swiftly. This position is based in Alexandria, VA, and requires the ability to obtain a Secret-level clearance for consideration. While this role allows for remote work 2-3 days a week, you will need to be present on-site weekly. The anticipated pay range for this position is between $126,100.00 and $227,950.00. The pay range serves as a general guideline and is not an assurance of compensation, with several factors influencing the final offer.
