Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
- I possess a Certified Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
- I have 7-12 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) supporting a large enterprise network system, including experience maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs) and performing Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) compliance activities.
- I possess a deep technical understanding of core current cybersecurity technologies as well as emerging capabilities.
- I have knowledge of security best practices, security solutions, and methodologies for risk management in accordance with NIST Cybersecurity Framework guidelines.
- I have demonstrated experience working in a large Federal agency.
Responsibilities
- I provide on-site support to the health agency in Maryland.
- I serve as the lead for all program Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) activities.
- I evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing protected and sensitive information.
- I coordinate with a cross-functional team for information system security software, hardware, and firmware updates.
- I propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
- I maintain the appropriate operational information assurance (IA) posture for the system.
- I develop and update the system security plan and other SA&A documentation.
- I assist with the assessment, development, and implementation of programs and controls to preserve the integrity and security of sensitive data and information.
- I represent the program at regularly scheduled Agency governance review board meetings.
- I assist with cybersecurity defense against unauthorized access to information systems.
- I maintain incident response playbooks and serve as the program point of contact for security incidents.

I am part of Leidos Dig Mod Health IT division, as we seek an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for a large network services opportunity supporting a Health Agency in Montgomery County, MD. While the job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days from the original posting date of September 30, 2024, the pay range for this position is between $101,400.00 and $183,300.00. This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation; additional factors will be considered in extending an offer, such as responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and market alignment.
