Requirements

Must:
- I require candidates to have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. - A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred; however, I will consider applicants with 4+ years of experience in place of a degree. - Candidates should possess practical knowledge of AF CSA, ISSO, TSE, VTC, DTA, USLM Mobile Satellite Services, and ITEC EMSEC/TEMPEST. - Experience within an Air Force intelligence organization is highly desirable. - A current TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory. - Candidates must hold and maintain DoD 8570 certifications (Security+) and be prepared to meet future requirements.

Responsibilities

- I expect the successful candidate to act as a communications liaison for an Air Force Squadron/Detachment and Field Training Unit regarding alterations to operations, policies, and capabilities associated with networks. - You will oversee and plan communications for NIPR/SIPR/TS networks (with classifications up to TS//SCI). - Building rapport with network owners and administrators to gain insights into all networks is essential. - You will gather customer requirements and collaborate with network/system owners to provide design inputs and implement solutions that satisfy customer needs while adhering to system limitations and security concerns (both physical and logical). - Conducting investigations into network and telecommunications system incidents will be a part of your duties. - Identifying and documenting network errors and remedies is crucial. - You will analyze network and telecommunications alarms to detect potential issues and provide updated system solutions using AFWAY. - Configuring, testing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, and routers will optimize performance and ensure security posture is achieved and upheld. - You will also handle configuration, testing, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various network devices and phone systems, including systems for video teleconferencing (VTC). - Maintaining documentation for system installations and MICT compliance will be necessary. - You will create user accounts across multiple domains and manage administrator accounts for NIPR and SIPR. - Troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues will be part of your role, alongside regular monitoring of ticket status through Remedy. - You will participate in base communications squadron's monthly vulnerability scans and remediate vulnerabilities identified in workstations/laptops. - Processing all new NIPR/SIPR requirements via CIPS/WOMS to Remedy and supporting Dual-Management for Mobile Satellite Services will be your responsibility. - Coordination and setup of VTCs for squadron leadership while providing technical support for Tandberg systems will also be expected. - Lastly, the candidate must handle communications security (COMSEC) information and materials.
