Requirements
Must:
We are seeking a qualified candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience with at least 10 years in relevant IT roles. An active Department of Defense (DOD) Secret clearance is required. Additionally, we prefer candidates to hold one of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), or Microsoft Fundamentals, Associate or Expert level certification.
Responsibilities
As an IT Specialist, I will perform advanced systems installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal Information Technology (IT) system operations. My duties will include designing and overseeing upgrades and new installations of IT systems and services in coordination with a Cyber Security Specialist. I will also conduct Tier III upgrades of networking systems, IT systems, and storage networking, as well as manage Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management of Internet Protocol (IP), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and routing protocols. Furthermore, I will integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems to ensure current network operations are sustained or oversee their recovery.

Leidos is looking to hire an IT Specialist in Kansas City, MO, to join our team, with multiple vacancies available. Our SMIT MCEN program is the largest IT services initiative for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion, we aim to deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, covering cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, we support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to enhance capabilities and services while saving costs by concentrating efforts under a single enterprise network. The pay range for this position is $87,100.00 to $157,450.00, with various factors influencing final compensation.
