Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Solid understanding of desktop support, help desk functions, and IT service management principles.
- Proven experience in leading IT support teams.
- Familiarity with IT operations in a DoD context.
- Must secure DoD 8140-compliant certification within 90 days of start date.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are preferred.
- Ability to primarily work on-site at JBAB.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding IT services to over 3,000 military, civilian, and contractor personnel at JBAB.
- Lead a mid-sized team of Leidos and partner personnel overseeing more than 8,000 assets and around $5M in project work.
- Manage daily operations and future planning activities, including Field Services, desktop support, help desk, voice services, routine requirements, technical updates, mobile/personal wireless support, and customer service.
- Supervise Site Field Operations and Site Project Managers to ensure tasks are effectively prioritized, coordinated, documented, and organized to fulfill program requirements.
- Represent the location during daily operations synchronization meetings and weekly leadership updates.
- Guarantee that contractual service level agreements (SLAs), response times, ticket closure deadlines, and other performance indicators are consistently met or surpassed.
- Mentor and assess team members working with a high level of independence and responsibility.
- Create weekly executive summaries detailing achievements, risks, and performance trends for the 794th Communications Squadron leadership.
- Oversee a budget of over $2M and offer advice regarding hiring, promotions, performance management, recognition, and staffing decisions.
- Constantly evaluate workflows, pinpoint inefficiencies, and provide suggestions for enhancing service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Organize and implement annual lifecycle and compliance initiatives, including the refresh of around 400 workstations each year.
- Hold daily internal synchronization meetings to align technicians and team leads on priorities, workloads, and emerging concerns.
