Requirements
Must:
- Advanced degree or ongoing education in computer science or a strong background in advanced mathematics or physics
- Experience in 3D Game Development, Visual Modeling and Simulation, or VR/XR Development
- Familiarity with multi-threading, GPU shader programming and optimization, and data visualization
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance (Interim Secret clearance required upon employment)
- Basic experience in developing 3D graphics applications in C++ with low-level APIs
- Experience with game programming, 3D graphics development, or visual simulation systems
- Exposure to a graphics engine such as Unreal or OpenSceneGraph
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced training systems using state-of-the-art technology
- Create real-time, three-dimensional graphic systems for naval simulations
- Work with simulations like submarine periscope, submarine bridge, and naval weapon systems
- Collaborate with a team to produce software in a Linux environment using C++ and OpenGL
- Ensure timely contributions towards impactful naval operations and training systems
- Opportunity to travel to key locations such as Pearl Harbor, San Diego, and Norfolk
