Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree from a U.S. institution or the country where the target language is spoken. Additional years of experience may be used in place of a degree.
- At least 3 years of direct experience in teaching adults;
or
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience;
or
- A masters degree accompanied by 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in creating instructional materials customized for adult learners.
- Knowledge of the ILR Scale along with awareness of current events and cultural trends in the foreign language.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 3 to 5 hours of language instruction daily across proficiency levels ILR 0 to 3.
- Create customized instructional materials and training aids to achieve specific learning goals for students.
- Participate in training provided by the sponsor to gain certification as a language tester.
- Execute 3 to 4 language proficiency assessments weekly after obtaining certification.
- Facilitate language instruction through cultural immersion, utilizing a strong grasp of the languages culture and current events.
- Work together with senior instructors to uphold instructional standards and ensure curriculum quality.
