Requirements

Must:
We require a BS degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 10 to 13 years of prior relevant experience. A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a Hardware Designer Engineer in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design is essential. Additionally, an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required, and you must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

As an FPGA Hardware Designer Engineer, you will support a high-performing program consisting of a small team responsible for the entire life cycle of the design, programming, and testing of next-generation cryptographic communications security modules. This includes: - Assisting with designing new products and processes, as well as improving and maintaining existing products while providing technical leadership to less experienced engineers. - Communicating effectively with other engineering personnel to coordinate interrelated designs and ensure project completion. - Developing and maintaining documentation for the place and route (P&R) design flows. - Conducting design analysis on components and assemblies to assist in the development process, ensuring designs are cost-efficient, manufacturable, and reliable. - Applying ASIC or FPGA place and route tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs. - Working with tool and library vendors to address designers’ P&R design challenges. - Assisting with de-processing electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software. - Integrating new P&R tools, updates, and design libraries into the Government’s computer-aided design environment.
