Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. - Must meet IAT Level I position requirements as defined in DoD 8570.01-M, with one of the following certifications: GISF, GSLC, Security +, or comparable industry experience. - Minimum of 2 years experience in a CST validation laboratory or demonstrable proficient knowledge in the area. - Strong understanding of IT security principles and familiarity with CST technical processes and validation methodologies.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for effectively conducting product security assessments under the guidance of the lead tester. - Maintains regular communication with the lead tester regarding the status and execution of security assessments. - Clarifies and analyzes customer requirements. - Adheres to and understands the verification and validation of testing methods and procedures. - Evaluates results, including statements of conformity and associated interpretations. - Documents any non-conforming work and supplies that hinder the accurate execution of security assessments (observation reports). - Possesses strong knowledge of FIPS. - Provides mentorship to junior testers as needed. - Coordinates all tasks with the lead project tester or lab manager. - Delivers informal weekly status updates on all tasks to the project lead tester. - Leads client-facing activities. - Independently carries out the following: - Algorithm generation and verification testing activities using CAVS and ACVTS. - Design reviews. - Compliance analysis. - Source code reviews. - Failure testing. - Operational testing. - General testing activities. - Completes CRYPTIK sections with a proficiency of 70%. - Conducts physical testing independently. - Generates Physical Testing Reports with a proficiency of 70%. - Drafts Design Review Forms (DRF) and onsite test plans.
