We require candidates to currently possess a DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE, or an equivalent to meet our requirements. You should have experience with one or multiple Cisco, Avaya, or Oracle voice platforms, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE), Oracle Session Border Controller (SBC), and Avaya Aura Application Server. A deep understanding of SIP internetworking signaling and call flow is essential. We are looking for individuals with demonstrable expertise in advanced fault analysis to isolate and diagnose network issues related to routing, switching, security, and large-scale voice implementations. An active Secret security clearance is also required.

Responsibilities

As an Enterprise Voice Engineer, you will be responsible for performing the following duties: - Carry out engineering tasks to maintain a large, complex, and highly resilient IP voice and video communications infrastructure. - Manage, configure, troubleshoot, and ensure service quality for all aspects of a voice, video, and data network. You must be organized, detail-oriented, possess diagramming skills, and understand WAN principles. - Conduct system maintenance, support capacity planning initiatives, and complete configuration change documentation. - Configure and implement calling search spaces, route plans, route partitions, route lists, and device profiles. - Configure Cisco or Juniper routing and switching devices and support distributed firewall infrastructure. - Provide input for developing technical policies, work instructions, and reporting for an enterprise IP telephony network. - Analyze and resolve complex technical problems using foundational knowledge of SIP signaling and call flows. - Troubleshoot and address remote site registration, signaling, and media issues. - Validate change requests to ensure accuracy and perform fault analysis and configuration for voice subscribers, call handlers, and call routing rules. - Analyze and configure Cisco or Juniper routing and switching rules.

We prefer candidates with working knowledge of Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP), including associated G.711 and G.729 codecs and Digital Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF). Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager or Avaya Aura soft switches, as well as other voice media gateway appliances, is advantageous. Familiarity with supporting distributed firewall infrastructure, creating/supporting IPSec MPLS VPN infrastructure, implementing and supporting BGP routing protocols, and expertise in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting QoS classification, marking, and prioritization of network traffic is also preferred. A BS degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience) is required. The anticipated pay range for this position is between $55,250.00 and $99,875.00, based on various factors including job responsibilities, education, experience, and internal equity.
