Requirements

Must:
We seek candidates who meet the following qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of experience in an IT discipline. - Exceptional customer service skills, with a minimum of 4 years in a client-facing role. - At least 5 years of administration experience with cloud-based applications (MS O365, SharePoint, Azure AD, AWS). - Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, Bash, or Go. - Experience with configuration management and orchestration tools, including Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. - In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. - Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker or Kubernetes. - Strong understanding of security principles, including threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and encryption techniques. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack. - Solid understanding of networking, Linux/Unix systems, and version control systems, including Git. - Proficiency with the Red Hat OpenShift container platform and relevant services. - Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust and DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, I would ensure the following key responsibilities are fulfilled: - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, automated software delivery. - Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) utilizing tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. - Configure and enhance container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift. - Manage and optimize virtual machines using virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM for infrastructure management. - Ensure excellent performance, scalability, and security within virtualized environments. - Support infrastructure modernization by integrating virtualization solutions into hybrid cloud environments. - Embed security best practices within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CI/CD processes. - Implement automated security tools for vulnerability scanning and container security. - Collaborate with security teams to ensure adherence to organizational and industry security standards (e.g., NIST, DoD, ISO). - Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OCI. - Maintain high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems. - Set up proactive monitoring solutions to guarantee system reliability and availability. - Respond to and resolve production incidents, conducting root cause analysis. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as developers, QA, and security professionals. - Mentor junior team members while contributing to the continuous improvement of DevSecOps practices.
