Requirements

Must:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the capability to obtain a Polygraph. - Security+ certification or ability to meet DoD 8570 compliance requirements. - Bachelors degree in an IT-related field and 12-15+ years of DBA experience, or a Masters degree along with 10+ years of DBA experience. - Extensive hands-on expertise with Oracle Database 19c or newer. - Strong proficiency with Oracle ASM and Oracle Grid Infrastructure. - Experience in administering Oracle databases on Linux systems, including RHEL/CentOS 7 and 8, as well as Windows Server 2019 Enterprise. - Familiarity with implementing DoD STIGs and performing database and OS hardening. - Knowledge of vulnerability remediation processes and experience in addressing findings from ACAS, SCAP, Nessus, or similar scans. - Strong skills in database performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, and optimization. - Working knowledge of both Linux and Windows-based systems. - Solid understanding of networking concepts relevant to Oracle environments. - Demonstrated experience in working independently with minimal supervision while effectively collaborating in a team setting. - Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

- Oversee, monitor, and support Oracle 19c databases across various environments including production, development, and testing. - Lead database initiatives including planning, delegating, tracking, documenting, and reporting on task progress. - Install, configure, maintain, document, and manage Oracle databases and related software to ensure peak performance and availability. - Execute Oracle database installations on Linux and Windows, including upgrades, patches, Release Updates, Critical Patch Updates, and new deployments. - Manage and configure Oracle ASM and Oracle Grid Infrastructure effectively. - Establish and maintain secure database connections utilizing TCPS with SSL/TLS encryption. - Migrate data, schema, and code across different databases while ensuring data quality and integrity. - Analyze challenges comprehensively from the application tier down to the database, operating system, network, and storage levels. - Monitor, diagnose, and optimize database performance using AWR, ASH, ADDM, execution plans, indexing strategies, and SQL optimization methods. - Conduct daily operations and proactive monitoring, including space management, log and dump file cleanup, health checks, error correction, and performance reporting. - Resolve incidents related to databases, systems, connectivity, listeners, SQL*Net, TCPS certificates, DNS, firewalls, and backups. - Implement backup and recovery processes using RMAN and support disaster recovery strategies. - Ensure adherence to DoD STIG compliance and system hardening for Oracle databases, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Windows Server environments. - Address vulnerabilities highlighted by ACAS, SCAP, Nessus, and other security assessments. - Oversee database security protocols, including roles and privileges, profiles, password policies, auditing, and compliance measures. - Support Oracle Spatial and geospatial data implementations as needed. - Manage and enhance storage integration with NetApp storage systems and assist with virtual environments using VMware. - Utilize Oracle tools like SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control or Cloud Control. - Maintain comprehensive documentation, standard operating procedures, security materials, and technical guidance for customers and contract stakeholders. - Collaborate effectively across IT functional areas and directly with customers to resolve complex database, systems, and infrastructure challenges.
