Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience. Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
- Proficiency in SQL databases and SQL scripting.
- Familiarity with C++ programming.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain public trust clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents who have lived in the U.S. for the past 3 years.
- Previous experience with the FAA is a plus.
- Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is preferred.
- Experience with ESRI databases and software is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Develop data-driven applications to facilitate the distribution of aeronautical information to our clients.
- Conduct software development tasks to support the Aeronautical Data Teams special project requirements.
- Customize and configure commercially available software applications as needed.
- Modernize or replace outdated software applications requiring technological upgrades.
- Aid Aeronautical Information Services (AJV-A) in the assessment and testing of software applications before they are rolled out.
- Assist in the formation of new workflows for projects managed by the Aeronautical Data Team.
- Gather user requirements for new initiatives and document applications, code, database structures, processes, and system architectures as necessary.
