We require you to have the following qualifications:
- 8570 IASAE II certification (CASP+ CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP)
- A Bachelor’s Degree along with 15+ years of experience
- AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certification
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification
- Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect Expert
- Experience with FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 control mapping
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as a Senior Cybersecurity Architect
Responsibilities
As our Cyber Security Architect, you will:
- Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the DISA Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) Program Management Office (PMO).
- Identify security relevant data and tools in both traditional and cloud mission areas, developing solutions for evolving capabilities and making formal recommendations to agency stakeholders.
- Research and develop Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) security strategies across multiple Areas of Responsibility (AOR).
- Conduct network security architecture reviews and develop security solutions for Mission Partners in alignment with DISA CSSP offerings.
- Perform periodic Mission Partner reviews to assess and verify the effective instantiation of traditional security appliances and Cloud Native Technologies.
- Conduct and deliver weekly and monthly status updates to government representatives.
In addition, you will also be responsible for:
- Developing Infrastructure as Code for the automation of Mission Partner Integration with DISA CSSP Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) platforms.
- Implementing and sustaining multi-cloud Test & Integration environments for evaluating security capabilities and assisting defenders in performing cyber threat emulations and the development of detections.
Description
We offer a dynamic opportunity as you become a member of the DISA GSM-O II program in support of our cyber-related programs. In this role, you will act as a technical liaison between DoD Mission Partners and DISA regarding Cyber Security Architecture, sensing and monitoring technologies, and data. You will perform network architecture reviews and provide recommendations on improved network security strategies while evaluating network instrumentation and designing state-of-the-art cloud-based and on-premise network security architectures.
This position is based out of Fort Meade, MD, with potential travel required of up to 25%. We value ongoing development and contribution in this essential area and expect the selected candidate to support the evolution of cyber solutions for DISA.
Pay Range:
Pay Range: $104,650.00 - $189,175.00.
