Cloud Solutions Developer

We are looking for a passionate Cloud Image Developer (Azure/AWS) to support cloud modernization initiatives for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) at the Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) located in Alexandria, VA. This pivotal role plays an essential part in a high-impact program dedicated to providing secure and scalable cloud solutions that enhance operational agility and resilience across the USCG enterprise. As a Cloud Image Developer, I will design, build, and sustain secure operating system images for deployment in both AWS and Azure environments. You will be crucial in ensuring consistent provisioning, compliance, and automation within cloud-hosted systems. Collaboration with cloud engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and program leaders will be key to driving continuous improvement and delivering mission-critical value. Key responsibilities include: - Crafting base images for virtual machines (VMs) or containers that encompass operating systems, software packages, and configurations adapted for specific cloud platforms (e.g., AWS AMIs, Azure VM images, Google Cloud images). - Utilizing tools like Packer, Terraform, or Ansible to automate the image creation and deployment processes across various environments. - Guaranteeing that images are lightweight, secure, and meet organizational standards for compliance. - Managing versioned images, applying necessary updates, and maintaining reliability. - Collaborating with teams to ensure that images integrate seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows. - Facilitating coordination across engineering, cybersecurity, and program management teams. - Encouraging ongoing improvement through feedback and process refinement. - Aligning with USCG mission objectives and our delivery standards at Leidos.
