Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree and over 8 years of experience, or a Master’s degree and at least 6 years of experience. A TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is mandatory for consideration. You should have 3 to 5 years of experience in systems engineering or cloud infrastructure support, and be proficient in Linux system administration along with shell scripting. Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, is essential. Familiarity with Python or Bash scripting for automation tasks is also required.
Responsibilities
As part of the Cloud and Systems Engineering team, I will assist you in managing data pipelines across AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, and Google Cloud Storage. You will support the deployment and updates of serverless functions, and help maintain cloud storage access controls and container configurations. In systems administration, you will troubleshoot Linux systems including Rocky Linux and Ubuntu, as well as handle a Windows Domain environment. Additionally, you will maintain system automation, support web-based tools, assist in supporting FreePBX and PBXact phone systems, and monitor SIP trunk health. You will also document technical procedures and workflows, maintain logs on routine tasks, and participate in incident responses.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled engineer capable of managing daily infrastructure tasks, documenting processes, and efficiently serving as an able backup when the lead engineer is unavailable. We seek someone who is detail-oriented, responsive, and experienced in cross-platform administration. The team, based in Chantilly, VA, comprises highly motivated individuals who focus on the operation, automation, and support of hybrid infrastructure environments.
