Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with over 4 years of pertinent experience. Additional training or certifications may substitute for formal education. - Must be a U.S. citizen with an Active DoD Top Secret clearance and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI. - IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of employment. - At least 2 years of practical AWS experience (including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, RDS/DynamoDB, VPC, CloudWatch). - Proficient programming skills in at least one serverless-compatible language (Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Java, or Go). - Experience in constructing data pipelines and working with various data storage solutions (S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS). - Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (such as Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and CI/CD methods. - Practical knowledge of code management tools like Git, GitLab, GitHub. - Understanding of RESTful API development, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing. - Familiarity with performance monitoring and troubleshooting within production environments.

Responsibilities

- Design, create, and implement cloud-native applications and microservices on AWS utilizing serverless and container-based designs. - Establish, oversee, and enhance XML transformation workflows utilizing tools like XSLT, Apache DFDL, Saxon, or Altova MapForce. - Construct and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines for both batch and streaming to back analytics and machine learning tasks. - Develop APIs and backend services with serverless frameworks (Lambda, API Gateway) focusing on event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Kinesis). - Collaborate with data engineers to model, improve, and operationalize data workflows across platforms like S3, Glue, Redshift, and Snowflake. - Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and deployments via IaC tools (like CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Monitor, diagnose, and enhance system performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability, implementing observability using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and Prometheus/Grafana. - Implement security best practices throughout the stack (including IAM, KMS, VPC, encryption, and least privilege) to ensure compliance with DoD security regulations. - Produce and retain documentation, runbooks, and conduct code reviews; engage in post-incident evaluations. - Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when necessary.
