Requirements

Must:
- I require a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM or engineering discipline. - You should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant technical architecture experience in designing large and complex IT operations in large organizations or a research environment for government and/or private industry. - I am looking for demonstrable knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability). - You must have demonstrable knowledge and experience deploying capabilities to DoD Cloud Service Providers, such as AWS, Microsoft, Google Support Services, or Oracle. - Knowledge of DevSecOps tool chains and processes, including infrastructure as code, is essential. - Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, NiFi, Spark, PySpark, Dask) is required. - I expect experience in application migration and Agile development. - You must be a US Citizen, hold a Top Secret or SCI eligible Security Clearance, and be eligible for access to Special Access Program Information. - A willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph is also necessary.

Responsibilities

- I want you to study, analyze, recommend, and ultimately design and build new hybrid cloud-based environments for DCO-S cloud initiatives, ensuring that critical applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery. - You will integrate capabilities and models into the new cloud-based environment. - It is crucial for you to define requirements for DCO-S throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including integrating, upgrading, and sustaining the hybrid cloud-based environment. - You will back decisions with research and articulate options, pros, and cons for each recommendation. - I need you to develop solutions architectures and evaluate architectural alternatives for hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services. - Guiding the migration of legacy systems to a modern cloud platform solution and assisting with the adoption into the DCO-S solution is essential. - I expect you to design enterprise and systems security throughout the cloud development lifecycle, translating technology and environmental conditions into security designs and processes. - You will design and develop security requirements that mitigate risks while maintaining cybersecurity operational capability across the USSF enterprise. - Staying up-to-date with industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies while evaluating their potential impact on DCO-S software development strategies will be part of your job. - You will verify architecture against DCO-S program requirements and goals, participating in technical discussions, trade studies, and working groups. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI designers, and quality assurance, to define and deliver software solutions is essential. - You will interface with USSF Test Enterprise leadership, training, and program managers to explain security goals and mitigations relative to their priorities of cost, schedule, and performance. - I will need you to provide regular updates, reports, and presentations on DCO-S software development progress, achievements, and challenges to stakeholders and senior management. - Establishing and enforcing quality assurance protocols to ensure the provision of dependable, secure, and regulation-compliant software solutions is important. - Finally, I want you to champion process automation to reduce manual steps and improve the reusability of solutions while utilizing cloud services and technologies to architect and develop scalable and reliable software solutions.

Description

- Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in a related discipline and experience working on-site in a government client environment. - Familiarity with security procedures while working in a SCIF/SAPF environment, along with Cloud Security Implementation experience, will be beneficial. - Certifications such as Azure Solutions, Google Professional Cloud, AWS Certified Solutions, and/or Red Hat Certified Architect are preferred. - While this job requisition may change based on business needs, I anticipate that it will remain open for at least 3 days following the original posting date. - The pay range for this position is between $67,600.00 and $122,200.00. Please note that this range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and more.
