Must:
- Proficiency in Chinese.
- Must possess strong language, analytical, and technical skills necessary to master job-related tools and processes.
- Native-level proficiency in English.
- Minimum two years of experience in Chinese linguist operations (translation, language analysis) and two years in media examination for Document and Media Exploitation (DOMEX) projects.
- Willingness to work occasional shifts as required by mission needs.
- Must achieve a minimum score of 3/3 in Reading and Listening in Chinese, and 3+/3+ in English.
- BA degree or equivalent relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with two years of relevant experience.
- Ability to succinctly summarize complex technical subjects for a general audience.
- Proven problem-solving skills for ambiguous situations.
- Capacity to independently maintain project momentum with minimal supervision.
- Competence in quickly scanning large volumes of foreign language materials for key information.
- Ability to implement customer prioritization requirements during file reviews and assess the potential value of files.
- Demonstrated experience in screening or translation projects, maintaining the integrity of translated materials.
- Effective communication skills, written and oral.
- Capability to make sound decisions under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with report-writing standards for DOD and IC consumers.
- Proficiency with standard computer systems and office software, along with experience in media examination tools.
- Ability to use or train in customer-specific software programs and tools.
Responsibilities
- Conduct data discovery on extensive datasets of foreign-language materials, identifying key information.
- Convert, reformat, parse, and otherwise analyze media files using customer tools to ensure compatibility with translation systems.
- Prepare files and their metadata for submission to translation systems, including reviewing foreign-language data.
- Generate reports of findings and share them with customers, analysts, and liaison officers.
- Create precise written summaries, translations, and transcriptions of both general and technical materials.
Description
Our National Solutions Sector is on the lookout for skilled Chinese Triage Examiners to engage in media exploitation (MEDEX) and triage in the National Capital Region (NCR). You will rely on your linguistic and analytical abilities as well as advanced technical aptitude to tackle various triage examination tasks. As a Triage Examiner, you will perform eDiscovery evaluations of electronic media using forensic examination tools, highlighting and prioritizing important items for further processing in line with customer protocols. You’ll also communicate effectively with your superiors regarding task progression and key findings, and produce detailed reports to share with stakeholders.
