Requirements
Must:
- I require a Master's degree with 15+ years of experience related to IT and/or cyber security. I will consider additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- I need experience managing the implementation and operation of security architecture and tools (5+ years).
- I expect experience working in project management roles (5+ years).
- I want experience with IT modernization (5+ years).
- I must have a solid understanding of key cyber security tools to ensure consistent deployment, execution, and continuous improvement in alignment with business requirements.
- I look for experience leading complex security infrastructure consolidation and modernization efforts to achieve standardized, consistent, and repeatable processes for service delivery across a large agency enterprise, optimizing the use of shared resources.
- I require experience in effectively communicating at senior levels within a customer organization and collaborating with stakeholders to formulate, review, and execute task plans and deliverable items.
- I expect strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with customer representatives, domain experts, systems engineers, and architects.
- I need experience leading high-performing multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- I will be responsible for researching new technical trends, products, and services, such as hardware components, system software, and networks technologies that can improve the security efficiency and effectiveness of the IT infrastructure across all development and administration teams.
- I will work with business stakeholders, engineers, and system administrators to ensure all program goals are met.
- I will provide management, leadership, and direction to program engineering team leads and individual contributors.
- I will act as a subject matter expert for all Cyber Security projects.
- I will collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure that the current and future service level requirements of our customers are identified, understood, and documented.
- I will produce and maintain security architecture documents, establishing the operational, system, and technical views of the security architecture, covering significant areas related to network defense and various technologies in use.
- I will analyze the security architecture and document recommendations to close gaps in data protection.
- I will create Standard Operating Procedures and decision analysis documentation, as requested.
- I will coordinate application and platform upgrades, ensuring the latest releases are implemented in a timely manner with minimal disruption to IT operations.
- I will produce reports and dashboards based on defined measures, metrics, and key performance indicators.
Description
- I seek additional skills such as experience with Cyber Security Operations, an active CISSP certification (preferred), and an active DoD/Top Secret Clearance (Interim Top Secret acceptable) or TS/SCI.
- This is a full-time position with work locations in Fairmont, WV or Boulder, CO, requiring some travel (approximately 10%).

- Pay Range: $144,300.00 - $260,850.00. This pay range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
